What is a Scam?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

A scam is defined, as a “fraudulent business scheme” or a “swindle”, but sometimes it can be hard to work out whether the business opportunity you are looking at is scam, until you have actually lost money in it.

There are many different kinds of scams out there both online and offline. A scam is usually an offer that is “too good to be true” and will encourage you to part with your hard earned money.

Scammers use many persuasive techniques and you can learn to recognise there. The scammer will also try to make you feel petty of inadequate if you resist the scam. They will say things like “if you can’t spare $50 to change your life forever, then there is no hope for you” These people are generally as desperate for money themselves and their claims to be “rich” are usually false. They will only become rich with your money.

At some time in our lives, most of us (especially Miss Gullible) have been scammed and most people can recognise that horrible feeling. When you realise you have been scammed again.
