Reality-Networkers Update

Friday, July 25th, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

You  may have read my previous post on Reality-Networkers and how I have reached the conclusion that they do not live up to the hype. I would now like to address whether Reality-Networkers can help build your existing business? One of their major claims is that you can take the matrix that you build with RN to any other program and that is where the real moolah comes in.

The truth is that RN is simply not effective in this way. I have 180 personally sponsored members and 445 people in my downline. I have made $40 from Reality-Networkers. That doesn’t seem quite right does it? But have I been able to take that large downline to other programs? The answer, I am afraid, is no. You cannot take your downline to other programs until you have reached Level 4. I am currently on Level 2 and as I have worked out it is pretty much a scam, I am not going to go any further with RN.

RN say that the difference with their program is that all of your downline is active. This is simply not true. I have sent dozens of encouraging emails explaining to my refs exactly what to do to get referrals and they are simply not interested. It is much like any other Ponzi/MLM in that way. There is no guarantee that your referrals will be active for long, or at all.

In fact when I emailed my upline member for help, he was very honest and told me that he has had no luck with Reality-Networkers.

So what about the people who do get to Level4?

Well they do make more money from RN, but still not a lot for the huge amount of work they put in. An email is then sent on their behalf to their downline asking them to join whatever other program they are promoting. The fact is the downline does not have to join and most will not. I received one of these emails from an upline member who had managed to reach Level 4. The email said if I joined under her, anyone else who joined would be placed under me. I joined her program, which was GDI and no one else was placed under me. What a farce! I have now cancelled my GDI membership and requested a refund. I guess that poor lady won’t make any money from me.

Despite some of my downline being keen, none have been able to get upgraded members themselves. I have had to pass my members onto them. This does not encourage them to work and gives them the idea they can get something for nothing, which is never true, especially in RN.

Hopefully this post will help you make an informed decision before joining Reality-Networkers. It will be more effort than a full time job simply to get to Level 4, let alone to make any money when you get there.

Is Reality-Networkers a Scam?

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

I have been a member of Reality-Networkers for about 4 months now. It is basically a much hyped downline builder. I am not calling it an outright scam, but is it certainly harder to work with than the adverts say. I have worked really hard with this one, as I felt that it could really work. The upgrade fee is only $25 and it has been very easy to get people to sign up for the 14 day free trial period. After that it is harder to get people to upgrade, but still a lot easier than most programs. The aim of the program is to build an active team, which you can then take to join other program. The problem is you only get a tiny portion of the profits Reality-Networkers make. I have referred 180 people and have had a lot of upgrades. I have received $40 so far. This seems ridiculous.

You are meant to refer 5 upgraded people and you then teach them how to refer 5 and so on. So, in theory, you only need to refer 5 to make a living. Well, it doesn’t work like that. I referred my 5, but these people soon lost interest and although they could have copied exactly what I did to get referrals, they did not. Now I either refer for them, or don’t get paid. I don’t really want to refer anyone else, as I feel they will have a hard time earning money.

People in my upline have made this work for them, but I can’t help feeling it is a huge amount of work for very little reward. Reality-Networkers recommends safelists as a good way to promote. I did not get any referrals this way. I feel they are an outdated method. I have much more luck with traffic exchanges.

They have been running a contest and the results will be called in July. You could earn points by referring people etc. This could be the only way I could make some money, as the first prize is $5000 and I have been very active on the site in the last few months, as I really thought it was a genuine opportunity.

Imagine if I won first prize, that would go some way to repaying my debts. Oh well, I can dream.
