Get Traffic From Yahoo Answers

Monday, October 27th, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

If you are a fellow blogger, I am sure you are always on the look out for ways to increase traffic to your site. By increasing quality traffic you are more likely to make sales and collect ad revenue.

Yahoo Answers is a really good way to get free, quality traffic. All you need to do is to create a free account and search for questions in your niche. You can then answer the questions and include your website/affiliate link in the source box.

Now it should be noted that Yahoo Answers is harsh on spammers, as they should be, so make sure you leave thoughtful and helpful answers and only leave your link if it is helpful to the question asked.

To get the most traffic you should try and be first to answer. If you leave a quality answer you may get chosen as best answer and should get more traffic as well.

Some people earn a part time affiliate income through this method alone. There are also people who set up two, or more accounts and ask and answer their own questions. That way they can be the first to answer and choose their answer as best answer. This is an effective way to do things, but I do not wish to risk it.

There is software out there that will provide proxies, so that you never get found out and allows you to automate your Yahoo Answers, but this is definitely a black hat method and not something I am interested in.

The problem with this software is that it will increase spam to Yahoo Answers, which is something we don’t need. If you want to find recently asked questions in your niche, just sign up for the RSS feed for free. That way you don’t have to resort to spamming or black hat methods and it’s free.

I Love Nichebot - Check It Out

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

About a week ago I signed up for a $1 trial with Nichebot. I didn’t think I would stick it out, but now I am addicted. It is like a more sophisticated version of Wordtracker,  but has so many more features and is really easy to use. It has loads of tools all in one easy to use interface.

Nichebot is a keyword and niche tool and an affiliate marketers dream.  It has many features that have increased visitors to my website in only a week. It can be used to find a niche, if you are just starting out. It can also be used to give you ideas on popular topics with least competition to write about on your blog/website.

You can also use Nichebot to create a killer Google Adwords campaign, making it fantastic fot instant affiliate profits. It has a feature where there is a jackpot sign when you find a keyword that has 0 competition. These are the best key words to focus on and it is really exciting when you find one in your niche. I am excited as Google Adwords has always cost me a fortune and the results have been poor in the past. With this tool I have been able to find incredibly cheap and high performing key words which have turned my Google Adwords campaigns around and saved me a lot of money.

Nichebot can also be used to spot current live trends, which are updated hourly. That way you can blog about what people are searching for right now. Again this has the jackpot feature to show you how much competition you would have.

There is a PDF manual and videos to show you how to use all the Nichebot features, although I must admit I muddled through and worked it out myself. I love how I can find the top 500 results in any niche with all the competition and popularity listings.

I don’t usually rave about a product, but NIchebot has wowed me. I am so used to being scammed, I wasn’t ready for something useful, that does what it says it will. I have read on forums that it has increased page rank and traffic of websites within weeks. It can be used for both organic and paid search results. I wish I had this tool when I first started blogging.

Click here to check out Nichebot and finally get great search engine results and more traffic.

Wordtracker Review

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

I have just signed up for a 7 day free trial of Wordtracker. Wordtracker is a tool that you an use to research keywords. It is great if you use Adwords campaigns, or even if you want to find out the best things to blog about, what people are searching for and what keywords have the least competition.

I started using Wordtracker straight away as I want to make the most of the Free Trial. The Free Trial has no restrictions, so I used the Full Search tool. It was really easy to use and incredibly useful. It gave me words and phrases I had not even thought about before to do with my niche.

The other thing you can use Wordtracker for, is if you are planning to start a website with the aim of making money. Using Wordtracker you can research what niche will be the most profitable. You can check how many people search for keywords in your niche and how much competition you will have. This could mean the difference between failure and success online.

Wordtracker also allows you to see the most popular keywords, both long term and short term. So far, i have found it very easy to use Wordtracker and have found it really useful. It is definitely worth signing up for the free trial.

They also have a referral program, so if you have a blog or website you may be interested in making some extra money by referring others to Wordtracker.

Traffic Hoopla Review

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

You know how much I like free, manual traffic exchanges and traffic hoopla is a great tool where you can see the current top 5 traffic exchanges. They are rated on performance and the top 5 is reguarly updated.

If you like you can just check out the top 5, or you can sign up for free. Once you have signed up and validated your account you can check out the list of top 5 and the rest of the top 20 traffic exchanges. If you are not already a member you can join up and surf the best ones. Remember the best way to use traffic exchanges is by surfing several at once in a tabbed browser.

You can then enter all of your traffic exchange IDs and promote your traffic hoopla URL. That way when someone joins up via your URL, they will sign up for the traffic exchanges under you and you will get lots of free credits.

The other great thing about traffic hoopla is that if you don’t feel like promoting, you can buy referrals. You can buy either 5 or 10 referrals for 30 days and that is plenty of time for them to sign up under your URL at all the traffic exchanges. Sounds like a good idea to me.

By the way, on the subject of traffic exchanges, I joined a new one today that is proving to be very effective. It has already delivered more hits than the others. It is called Traffic Goldrush. As it is only new they have some great offers on right now, including $1 for every person you refer who surfs 5 pages. Trust me, there will be a lot of people signing up for this in the next few days, so get your URL registered now and infront of all those surfers.

Traffic Goldrush are also giving away a lot of referrals, so it is a good idea to get in now.

How To Get GDI Referrals

Monday, September 29th, 2008

If you have read my previous post, you will know that I have recently signed up with Global Domains International. The biggest hurdle that most people face when joining a new online program is getting referrals. It is never quite as easy as it seems and if you get off to a bad start  it can be really demotivating.

My upline has been really good to me and given me some active referrals even before I activated my account with GDI. However, it is still important to get your own referrals with the program, so that you can get the full benefits.

Luckily my upline gave me a great free tool that you can use to get GDI referrals. You can also use it to refer new members to any of your online programs.

Using this tool alone today, I have 9 new referrals in GDI. That is pretty impressive. The tool is called DNE3 and utilises impressive squeeze pages that are custom designed for the traffic exchanges you surf at.

It is free to join and you will be amazed at the increase in response rate you get if you utilise the tools you are provided with. All you need to do is visit DNE3 and sign up. You can then add your details and you will be given a custom webpage. DNE3 suggests traffic exchanges you can sign up for. They also suggest programs you can sign up for. All of these are completley free. You don’t even have to sign up for the traffic exchanges or programs if you don’t want to.

However, I chose to use DNE3’s custom squeeze pages, free autoresponder and 5 of their reccomended traffic exchanges (you will see which ones I use when you sign up). Today I added my DNE3 URL to the 5 traffic exchanges and surfed each in a tabbed browser for about an hour and a half. At the end of that I have 9 sign ups. That would not have happened without DNE3, so I would say it is worth it.You will also find that your referrals may sign up to the traffic exchanges below you. That way you will get credits when they surf. The page will be promoted without you doing a thing. Of course it will take a few weeks before you have enough referrals not to have to surf yourself.

The best way to find out more about DNE3 is to visit the homepage and research from there. You will learn more than I can explain here. All I can say is that it is definitely not a scam. The main reason being that it is totally free and it works!

How to Get Free Backlinks Fast

Monday, September 8th, 2008

My personal project at the moment, is to see whether I can get a good page rank for my little ole blog. Page rank is a pretty complicated thing from what I can gather, but a part of it is based on how many backlinks you have to your blog and what page rank the websites who are linking to you have got. As you may know, I do not have much money to spend on promotion and backlinks, so here are my favourite ways to get free backlinks:

  1. Register with Blogrush It is a great service and completley free. All you need to do is register your blog and add a free widget to your blog (see my sidebar) and your posts will automatically be promoted across the Internet.
  2. You can buy one way links from a reliable source such as TNX.net It’s a good way to get links fast and you can choose which Page Rank you would like links to. You can either purchase the links (price varies depending on Page Rank), or display TNX code on your page and get credits. I tried TNX in teh beginning, but I find it too mucj of a short term solution. You pay monthly, so if I don’t have the money one month my Page Rank may drop again. Not for me, but may work for others.
  3. Write articles for Ezinearticles.com and Searchwarp.com, as well as other article directories. These tend to have high page rank and are an excellent way to get quality links fast.
  4. Traffic exchanges are a great way to get traffic fast and a great high pange Rank one way link. My absolulte favourite is GetRef.com You can buy link exposures really cheaply or you can earn them by clicking links or joining free programs. Another bonus of Getref is that they have a great sign up rate.
  5. Comment on Forums. Make sure your comments are constructive and of interest and include your link in your signature. If you can find a forum related to the topic of your blog or website then all the better.
  6. Comment on relevant blog posts. Again make sure your comments are constructive. Never ever Spam. It is best to comment on blogs that are related to your website or blog. To find blogs to comment on that will help your Page rank for a certain key word go to Google and type in: “your target keywords” “Remember my personal information” “Notify me of follow-up comments” Replace “your target keywords” with whatever you want, for this site is may be “scam”. Then you will find plenty of blogs to leave comments on. Some sites have no follow tags, which means the links will not be a lot of use to you. To check this highlight the name of a previous person who left a comment on the blog and right click. Choose view selected page source. This will allow you to view the html of the selected area. Now if you see something that looks like this you should leave a comment on the page: “<a href”http://www.acmerockets.com” target=”_blank”>THE NAME YOU COPIED</a>

If you see: “<a href”http://www.acmerockets.com” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow”>THE NAME YOU COPIED</a>” Then move on - unless you’ve found a good blog, then you may want to read it and comment!

Some blogs have no follow tags to stop excessive spam, but there are still many that do not.

   7.   Create a Squidoo page and link back to your site.

So these are my current top ways to get loads of quality, fast and free backlinks to your site. The more quality backlinks you have the higher page rank and the more organic search visitors.

Does Article Marketing Work?

Monday, August 4th, 2008

At first I tried writing articles on all sorts of Clickbank products and posting them in pretty much every article directory that I could find. Well, that didn’t work for me. For some reason the clicks would not transfer to sales. Perhaps I needed to choose a better Clickbank product to promote? Or perhaps my articles just weren’t believeable enough?

I decided to focus on promoting my own website instead. This website is a pet related site and I found this a very easy area to write articles about. I am very interested in animals and I think this showed in my article writing. I wrote these articles about a year ago and when I checked my traffic stats today over 50% of the traffic to this pet website is from either EzineArticles or Searchwarp. The other article directories don’t seem to produce any traffic this far on.

My website seems to have benefitted greatly from my article marketing efforts. I think this is because the pet website is in a niche area, whereas the things I was writing about for Clickbank products were more general.

Here are some tips for online Article Marketing:

  1. Keep it clear and concise. Don’t waffle on too long.
  2. Submit only to Ezinearticles.com and Searchwarp.com as these will benefit you most
  3. Try to write at least 2 articles a day for your website/blog
  4. Numbered lists and bullet points keep people’s attention
  5. Have a catchy title. Titles that use numbers like: “7 Ways to Stop Dandruff” (for example) are the most popular.

I’m off to write some articles for MissGullible.com!

5 Ways To Get Quality Traffic to your Blog

Monday, July 7th, 2008

My blog is still pretty new, as you know, but these are some of the more successful things I am doing to get quality traffic.

1. Webbizinsider -a great traffic exchange. My favourite thing about this one is that they send me emails every day where I get credits just for clicking on links in the email. One email I get most days reminds me that I am not a premier member (doesn’t seem much point to me) and I get 100 credits just for clicking that link. There are benefits of being a premier member, but to me free membership is effective and I don’t want to waste my money. I tried upgrading for a month and it wasn’t the best.

2. AdvertisingKnowHow - a typical traffic exchange. I see traffic very quickly from this one. After you surf a certain amount of pages you get lots of free credits which is handy. Again I prefer being a free member.

3. EasyHits4u - Another traffic exchange that works for me. Credits are really cheap if you want to save surfing time and just buy them.

4. GetRef - I Love It! You can earn credits from joining free programs or by visiting websites. This site is good if you need referrals, but I use the link exposure section, as I get a lot of visitors who take the time to read my blog. I usually buy credits for this one as they are so cheap. I prefer being a gold member, as it is very cheap and I get a lot more credits for my money

5. LinkReferral - My favourite of all time. This site is free and it is a great way to increase your traffic with visitors that actually take the time to read through my blog. You get a higher ranking by reviewing other sites and networking with others. As well as getting visitors, subscribers and comments from this site, I also get tips on how to improve my site. The best thing is my Google ranking has gone up a lot since I joined. I don’t recommend a lot, but I do recommend Link Referral.

If you decide to join up for any of these traffic exchanges/review sites it will really help me if you join by clicking on the links above, as then you will be my referral and I will get more credits. Don’t worry these are all free sites. I will never encourage you to get involved in a scam. Been there, Done that!
