Get Paid To Work From Home

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I have been researching freelance work and have found a great site called Elance.com. You can register for a free account and then search loads of jobs that suit your skills. I have been looking for writing or admin jobs. There are also design and coding jobs and all sorts of other things. There are even some people who want help using dating sites to find their one true love!

I am going to spend time creating a really professional profile and then get started when I get back to Australia. I love writing articles and I don’t mind doing mundane tasks such as forum posting and sorting through emails, so there are plenty of jobs that suit me. I also like the look of some creative writing jobs and can’t wait to get my portfolio together and start bidding. You place a sealed bid for the work and although there is usually quite a lot of competition, there are also a lot of jobs to go round. I think if you are reasonably intelligent and willing to work hard you will find a suitable job on Elance. I will keep you updated with how it all goes.

Lille Christmas Markets - Here I Come

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

This weekend my Dad is taking us all to the Lille Christmas Markets in France and I am really excited. It sounds like a great opportunity to get some really unique gifts and there is also a huge ferris wheel, which should be fun. We are going on the Eurostar and then driving from Calais to Lille to save money.

I guess it’s time to brush up on my GCSE French. I feel sorry that Mr Sensible can’t join us, but he is busy looking after the pets in Oz. I will bring him back something nice.

Good News this morning - we can stay in our flat! The Real Estate Agent did the insection and was pleased with what she saw. We are going to pay a little extra rent and a pet bond, but we will save loads on moving costs. Yippee! Maybe things are finally looking up. :-)

Fifth Neobux Payment Received

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

What with all my computer troubles back home in Oz it has taken me bloomin ages to reach my fifth Neobux payment of $6 (USD), but that is not their fault. Since I have been here in England I have reached my fifth pay out and it was just transferred to my Paypal account immediately.

Lovely!

Please Can We Stay!

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

Mr Sensible has been busy negotiating with the Real Estate Agents. As I have mentioned before we have 14 days to vacate, as the landlord doesn’t want us to have pets. We have offered an extra pet bond and extra rent. They finally agreed to do an inspection on Monday and if all is up to scratch they will let us stay. What a relief that would be!

Moving is so blooming stressful and poor Mr Sensible is all alone in Australia, whilst I am in England having a great time. I feel bad that everything is left to him, but I have to say he is doing a great job. Apparently he has been cleaning non-stop. If only I had known all I had to do to get him to clean was to get evicted :-)

As soon as I get home I have to find a job and get working. If I work hard for a year we can get all the debt paid off and start afresh. I believe we will do it, although I think Mr Sensible has his doubts. I can’t wait to prove him wrong.

Get Paid To Blog About The Things You Love

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

I have found a really great site called PayPerPost and it knocks all the other review sites out of the water. All you need to do is sign up for a free account and once your blog is approved you can start reviewing other sites and getting paid.

You can choose which opportunities you want to accept and there are opportunities to blog even if you have a 0 PR blog. If you sign up by clicking the link below you can get paid $7.50 just for reviewing this site on your blog!

You can choose how much you want to charge, although this will probably depend on the quality of your website/blog. There are new opportunities all the time and you can view them all in your account.

It is also a good way to create buzz about your site and get backlinks. Contextual links to your site are much more valuable than text links and banners.

24 Hour Flight Tomorrow

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

I am flying to England tomorrow and am really looking forward to seeing all of my family and friends. It has been over 2 years. So if the blog is a bit slower to get updated over the next few weeks it is because I am having lots of fun at home. I am looking forward to having a break from debts and other stresses, but I will miss the pets and Mr Sensible.

I will be using my parents fast computer to make some money whilst I am over there, ( Check out the forum http://www.blackhatworld.com for ideas), but mainly just having fun with people I haven’t seen in a long time.

See you soon.

Time to Eat My BlackHat

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

You may have read my previous post on blackhat seo techniques called “say no to blackhat methods“, well thanks to the forum blackhatworld I have changed my mind. Sure it is probably not a good idea to use blackhat techniques on your main websites (that you may have put many hours into), as you may lose your Google index altogether, but for short term money making projects you can’t beat it.

I have spent many hours reading some of the info on blackhatworld on making money and there are some really great ideas. Don’t worry I won’t be scamming anyone (except for maybe those who scammed me) but making money from my efforts is a high priority. The thing is I am frustrated. All the whitehat methods I try simply don’t work. See my post “should I go bankrupt“, so this is how I ended up at blackhatworld. The forum members are so helpful and nearly all the advice is free. In fact most members advice you not to invest any money in anything until you have built up an income from some of the free methods.

So it is time to stop reading and start doing. There are so many ideas it is hard to know where to start, so just pick something and get going. Many of the forum posters are incredibly experienced and very helpful. These are people who are making a lot of money every day.

I know many people won’t agree with me, but I feel like I have been ripped off so much and now it is time to take something back.

I got a disgusting comment from someone today who basically told me to die and that he wished I would drown in debt, well do you know what Brice? You have inspired me to take action. Whilst you are posting evil comments on people’s blogs and websites I will be making money. See you in hell!

Get Clickbank Products For Free

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

This is an oldie but a goodie. Just Google “cbreceipt” and loads of clickbank thank you pages will come up with a link to download the product. If you are looking for one product in particular just google the name of the product with cbreceipt.

I know it’s not exactly ethical and with a few sites it may not work if you need to enter a password, but you can get a lot of downloads for free. Why not give it a go? Some Clickbank products are so over priced for what they are, so now you can get them for free - great!

Get Google Traffic - Daily Plan

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

So you’ve found your niche and started a really good blog. The next step is to get indexed by Google and try and rank highly for your chosen key words. At first this task can seem overwhelming. Basically you need quality backlinks and good content to get ranked highly and get lots of organic traffic (the best kind). Do not pay for black hat services that get you loads of links all at once as they are often poor quality and Google may think you are spamming and ban you all together. Slow and steady wins the Google race and it doesn’t even have to be that slow.

The first step is to register with Google Alerts at http://www.google.com/alerts. Enter your website URL in the search term box and your email address and create a new alert. You can choose to get emailed once a day, once a week or as it happens. This will enable you to monitor how long it takes to get various pages indexed and how many backlinks are created ot your site. You can cancel this service whenever you like.

Here is a daily plan you can follow to build backlinks and organic search traffic, resulting in more sales for you.

  1. Write at least 1 new post every day. Make sure your content is original and of quality. You can use a tool such as Nichebot to seek out topics in your niche that have low competition. These posts will get indexed very quickly.
  2. Write an article on your most recent blog topic on http://www.ezinearticles.com and link to your blog post. If your post is newsworthy you can also submit a free press release at ezinearticles.
  3. Add your new page/blog post to 5 social bookmarking sites with tags to suit your keywords. These will be indexed very quickly and are often high page rank.
  4. Write 5 forum posts in forums in your niche. Make sure your comments are valid and not spam. Add your link as your signature.
  5. Register with Yahoo Answers at http://answers.yahoo.com/ for free. Seek out questions in your niche and answer them. Include your link in the source box. Make sure your answers are thoughtful and useful.
  6. Leave comments on 5 do follow blogs. Again, make sure you leave good comments, not spam. There will be a place for you to add your URL. http://www.inlineseo.com/dofollowdiver/ is a dofollow search engine where all the blogs indexed are dofollow.
  7. Register your site with at least one directory.
  8. Write 2 classified ads to your new post/page or your main site.
  9. Create a Squidoo page at http://www.squidoo.com on the topic of your last post and link back to your site/page/post. Squidoo pages are very easy to create and get indexed quickly.
  10. Email one blogger in your niche and request to exchange links in your blogroll.

If you follow some or all of these steps daily, you will find that your blog will be inundated with quality Google traffic in no time. Remember more organic search engine traffic means more sales and advertising commissions for you. What you get out will directly depend on the amount of work you put in.

Going Home to England

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

It is just over a week until I go home to England for a holiday. I am really looking forward to seeing my family and friends. I am even kind of looking forward to the 24 hour flight. I am sure that will get old after the first couple of hours though.

The weekend was pretty good, although I hate not having the Internet at home (I am in the library at the moment). I went to the cruelty free festival and had a great time. The event was a huge success and there were loads of people there, many of whom were just passing by and decided to have a look and see what was going on. There were bands and belly dancers and great vegan cooking demonstrations and plenty of free samples. Yum!

Tomorrow I should have the Internet back on at home and I can’t wait. I didn’t realise how much I enjoyed it.

Yesterday me and Mr Sensible were both very stressed about debts and such, but by the end of the evening we came to the realisation there is more to life than money and we set up some payment plans with the companies we are in debt to. It does feel better to have some control over the situation.

I spoke to my Mum last night and I have a feeling I will be rather spoilt when I go home. She is already talking about going to London for a girly weekend and seeing a show. It will be such a nice change to not have all the worries I do at home. Of course I am worried about leaving the pets and lovely Mr Sensible, but family and friends are important too.
